I have an Economics degree from Loyola Marymount University and more than 30 years of developing and managing complex operational and financial systems. I have developed and managed annual operating budgets in excess of $100M, as well as overseen a nonprofit's $11.5M endowment fund. My experience in management positions for two cities and a county has provided me with an in-depth understanding of the principles and practices of municipal operations and the municipal budget process. I am well versed in financial and statistical analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and developing conservative business models. I also have experience in contract management and negotiation, customer service management, operations management, marketing, project management and personnel management.
I pride myself on my ability to develop and implement complex data-driven operational and financial systems that use continuous quality improvement techniques to drive operations to achieve business goals.
